HTC Gratia is European HTC Aria

HTC were involved in a number of launches in the higher end of the mobile phone industry. Just when everybody started to think that HTC will no longer be launching phones in the middle range of the phone industry, they have launched the new HTC Gratia that comes with a lower price tag than many of its recently launched siblings. One of the main reasons for the Gratia to sport a much lower price tag than what its features should actually warrant is that this is actually a phone that is already selling like hotcakes in the United States. The HTC Aria, as it is called over there, has been tweaked to add some more features and has been launched in the European markets with a brand new name.

Even though this phone is a freshened up version of an older phone, it does not show its age under any circumstance. This, in fact feels like an all new phone. One of the main reasons for this is because the phone will be available in different colours. Apart from that, most of the other features of the phone are shared with the Aria. The phone is housed in neat body that is both compact and attractive at the same time. The phone has a few hardware buttons on the face of the phone that can be used for controlling options like menu, home and so on. Within the beautiful body, the phone houses in a 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen display that is an embodiment of the latest technology on offer.

Since this is a relatively large screen by any standards the phone employs proximity sensor and ambient light sensor for both saving power and improving usability. Then, there is the GPS and g-sensor to further offer more user friendly options. The phone uses the same 600 MHZ processor that was seen in the American version of the phone. This is because the phone is one of the most efficient at handling the Android 2.2 operating system and the various features like Adobe Flash support it offers. This is partly possible due to the use of 384 MB of RAM. Trackpad and touch sensitive keys are some of the other nice touches for this phone.

The HTC Gratia weighs 115 grams in total and this makes it one of the most lightweight phones that you can buy in the market today. Also, thrown in with this phone are a 5 megapixel camera and the HTC Sense option. This means that you can not only take great pictures and videos, but also store them in your phone knowing that you can even delete it remotely should you misplace this phone or lose it. Your photos and videos are not the only files that can be secured using the HTC Sense, but any other confidential data you can think of. The phone is getting ready for a November launch in the European markets with no pricing details revealed as of yet regarding mobile deals.Report this articleThis article is copyright
